As of 29 October 2026, class treasurers have set up over 140 classes on ClassKasa, and over 1500 people have an account: treasurers, parents and teachers. Most of those accounts were opened in September and October. There are classes in Poland and Germany, and since October the first ones in Italy.
How a class ends up here
Nobody wakes up wanting class-fund software. People arrive the way you arrive at a dentist: after a specific evening.
The evening usually goes like this. It is the first week of September. The group chat has 61 unread messages, 14 thumbs-up stickers and one voice note lasting 4 minutes 51 seconds. There is a trip, a gift for the teacher, insurance and the art supplies, all "by Friday". Somewhere on a laptop sits a file called class_fund_2026_FINAL_v3_fixed(2).xlsx, and somebody has just transferred 44.99 instead of 45.
Then someone asks, for the fifth time, "sorry, what is this one for?"
That is the evening. Over 140 treasurers have had it and decided they would rather have a link.
What they found
One link per class. Parents open it on their phone, see what the money is for, what they owe and where to pay; no app to download. The treasurer sees who has paid without scrolling up the chat. The teacher sees what the class is collecting for and when the trip is. Three people, one screen each, nobody chasing anybody at 23:40.
The part treasurers like most: the bank does the ticking
Treasurers on Premium can connect the class bank account. The connection is read-only and goes through Enable Banking, a licensed provider, and your bank password is never typed into ClassKasa (how we keep it that way, including the latest Next.js fix). From then on ClassKasa checks the account four times a day and books the payments it recognises to the right family by itself.
No CSV. No PDF statement. No "export from the bank, import into the spreadsheet, squint at reference lines" on a Sunday evening. That alone saves a treasurer a good few evenings.
And parents stop waiting. In a Premium class, a parent whose transfer has reached the class account sees it marked after the next of those four checks, without the treasurer doing anything. Which quietly deletes a whole genre of group-chat message:
- Hi, I paid on Tuesday, why is it still not marked??
- Me too
- Same, 45 on the 3rd
Nobody misses that genre.
Why it grew this autumn
September is when class money happens: new year, new trips, new treasurers who said yes before they knew what they were saying yes to. Most of our accounts arrived in those two months, and October brought the first classes in Italy, where the class representative, the rappresentante di classe, has long run the cassa comune from a notebook and a group chat.
Over 140 classes is over 140 group chats where nobody had to ask "sorry, what is this one for?" a sixth time.
Not every chat. But it is a start.

How does ClassKasa match bank payments to families?
On Premium, the treasurer connects the class bank account (read-only, through Enable Banking). ClassKasa checks it four times a day and books the payments it recognises to the right family, with no CSV or PDF import. A payment it cannot place waits in a short list for the treasurer to book.
