How ClassKasa works, who logs in, and what parents actually see.
ClassKasa: a web app for class money. The treasurer opens a collection and shares one link; each parent sees what they owe, and the treasurer sees who has paid. Free covers up to 5 collections per class; Premium adds bank auto-booking, reminders and the class chat.
Open a collection in ClassKasa and send the parents one link. Families pay by regular bank transfer to the class account (or cash you mark by hand), and everyone sees their own status, so nobody has to ask you on WhatsApp. On Free you tick each payment off; on Premium, bank transfers book themselves.
Yes. Connecting the bank is a Premium feature and it is read-only: ClassKasa sees the transfers on the class account through Enable Banking, under the EU PSD2 rules. ClassKasa never holds or moves the class money.
Yes. With the school plan every class of the school gets Premium, including classes added later. The school sees its classes and treasurers, but no accounts and no amounts. Price and how it works are on the schools page.
No passwords ever. You type your email, we mail you a link. Tap it from your phone and you're in. Links work for a few minutes - use fresh.
On iPhone: open ClassKasa in Safari, tap the share button at the bottom, then 'Add to Home Screen'. On Android: open it in Chrome, tap the three dots, then 'Install app'. Done - ClassKasa opens like any other app from your home screen, no app store.
Yes, with Premium. Add up to 4 grown-ups per family - each logs in with their own email and sees the same shared balance. Bank transfers from any of them auto-match to your family, so it doesn't matter which account sent the money. Handy when you're co-parenting, when divorced parents both want to stay in the loop, when a grandparent helps out with the zoo trip, or when both parents want to see 'what's still owed' without asking each other.
There are four kinds of role: Treasurer, Co-Treasurer (Premium), Member, and Teacher (Premium). Those are role types, not head counts - a class always has one treasurer, a Member seat for every grown-up in the class, and room for up to 4 teachers. The treasurer and co-treasurer run collections and see who paid and who hasn't; Members see only their own payment status; a Teacher sees class events and can update meet-up details, but never appears on a payment list and is never billed.
When you share a collection, ClassKasa automatically picks the best message type based on context: Announcement (new collection), Reminder (ongoing), Urgent (deadline approaching), Follow-up (overdue), or Celebration (fully paid). You can also switch between types manually. The message is pre-written in the parent's language - just tap Share and send via WhatsApp, email, or any app on your phone.
It's like a smart buddy for your whole class! Parents can ask things like 'where do we meet for the zoo trip tomorrow?' or 'how much do I owe for the gift?' Treasurers can ask 'who still hasn't paid?' or 'write me a friendly WhatsApp reminder.' It knows your class data, answers in your language, and never shares private info between roles. Available for everyone in a Premium class.
The chatbot auto-detects the language you write in and responds in the same language. It works in all languages supported by ClassKasa.
Chat messages are deleted from our servers after about 2 days. We don't keep transcripts, and the messages are not used to train AI models.
Yep. Real life - not every parent pays every time (already paid offline, kid isn't going on the trip this time, whatever). On Premium, exclude specific parents per collection so your totals stay clean.
The Teacher seat is for the adult who runs the trip - the schoolteacher. They see all class events and the collections list, and can update the logistics on a collection (its description, deadline, and event date), but never the amount, and they never appear on a payment list. A class can invite up to 4 teachers, and it is a Premium-only seat. Inviting one takes their first name, last name, and email; clicking the email link logs them in straight away.
A co-treasurer is the treasurer's backup brain - vacation cover, a second set of eyes on the maths, somebody to help chase late payments. That kind of help is exactly what makes Premium worth it. The Free plan is for solo treasurers who run things on their own; the moment you want a teammate, you're looking at Premium.
Apple only lets Safari install web apps and send push notifications on iPhone - Chrome and other browsers on iOS are actually wrapped around Safari and don't get those abilities. So: on iPhone, use Safari for ClassKasa. On Android, any modern browser works (Chrome is easiest).
Open Settings inside ClassKasa, find Notifications, and flip the device toggle to On - your browser will ask permission. Then pick which moments you want to be notified about: new collection, details changed, payment due (2 days before and on the day), 2 days overdue, or new app version. Each one has its own switch.
Free: install ClassKasa like a phone app - that part stays free for everyone. Premium: every phone notification lives here - new collection, details changed, payment due (2 days before and on the day), 2 days overdue, and a heads-up on new app versions. The /app/notifications inbox shows the full history for every Premium class you're in.
Apple's rule, not ours. iOS doesn't let installed home-screen apps grab links from other apps - WhatsApp always hands the link to Safari. The workaround: once ClassKasa is on your home screen, you can tap the share button in Safari and pick 'Open in ClassKasa' (iOS 17+), or just remember to open ClassKasa from your home screen first, then paste the link. On Android we ship a real fix: install ClassKasa and Chrome will offer to send every ClassKasa link straight to the app.
What a parent does, pays and sees.
Start a class and you get one short link - drop it in the class chat or send it by e-mail. A parent taps the invite link, types their e-mail and family name, and confirms the link we mail them, with no password. Then the treasurer lets them in (straight away if the treasurer added that e-mail earlier).
No. Only the treasurer pays for Premium (or the school, on the school plan); parents pay nothing for ClassKasa. A parent needs no password and installs nothing: they tap the treasurer's invite link, type their e-mail, confirm it with one tap in our e-mail, and the treasurer lets them in. If the class wants to share the cost: 54 € / 25 families = about 2,16 € per family for the whole year.
Nope, parents don't have to install anything - ClassKasa just runs in the browser they already have. If they want, they can save it to their home screen so it feels like an app (see the next question).
Open the collection and tap 'the transfer is on its way'. That gives your treasurer a heads-up that money is coming, so nobody nudges you to pay again. It is only a heads-up though - your row still counts as unpaid until the money actually lands in the class account, and then it clears on its own. No need to send anything twice.
Plans, billing, currency, and how the AI bank-statement scan keeps everything safe.
Yes. The free plan has no limit on classes, up to 5 collections per class (in total), and you tick payments off by hand. Premium is per class and adds bank auto-booking, the bank-statement scan, payment reminders and the class chat.
Premium costs 54 € per class per year, not per parent. With 25 families that is 2,16 € per family per year (54 € divided by 25). Parents pay ClassKasa nothing; who pays for the plan is for the treasurer to agree with the class.
Yes. Every class gets one free 100-day Premium trial, and you don't need a credit card to start it. You get the full Premium kit for 100 days - AI bank reconciliation, co-treasurer and teacher seats, unlimited collections, chat, all of it. When the 100 days are up nothing is charged: Premium simply switches off and your class stays on the free plan, unless you add a card (or another payment method) in the meantime to keep going. One trial per class. Why 100 days? Long enough for the whole class to fall in love with ClassKasa.
You keep access until the end of your billing period. After that, your account reverts to Free - your data stays, but extra features are disabled. You can re-subscribe anytime.
Most classes pay from a shared class bank account with a debit card - the cost spreads naturally across whoever chipped in. And you don't pay during summer: Premium Monthly takes a free summer break in July and August, Premium stays on, the card just isn't touched. So you only ever pay in the months you're actually collecting.
Same features, different billing. Premium Monthly renews each month by card or Revolut Pay and pauses for free in July and August. Premium Yearly is one payment for 12 months: you pay for 9 months and get 12.
No. Premium Yearly is a one-off payment, with options such as BLIK, card, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Premium Monthly renews by card or Revolut Pay. Payments go through Stripe; ClassKasa never sees or stores your card data.
Yes - pick Premium Yearly at checkout. You pay for 9 months and get 12. Use any one-off payment method, and take the money back from the class account however you normally do.
No. Premium Monthly automatically pauses for July + August - Premium stays on, no charge, nothing to do. Billing resumes September 1. Premium Yearly already covers 12 continuous months, so the pause doesn't apply.
Yes! ClassKasa supports EUR, PLN, GBP, USD, CZK, HUF, RON, and BGN. Your subscription and collection amounts are in the currency you choose for your class.
Upload a PDF or photo of your bank statement. Our AI reads every transaction, matches amounts and sender names to your class members and open collections, and presents the results for your review. You approve or adjust each match with one tap.
We support PDF bank statements and photos/scans (JPEG, PNG). The AI reads statements from every major EU bank we've tested. If yours isn't recognised, send us the file - we'll add it.
Yes - and here's how. We open the file, run the AI, return the matches, then drop the file. Nothing is kept on our servers after the analysis finishes. Your statement never enters a database.
You always have the final say. Every AI match is presented for your review before anything is saved. You can approve, reject, or manually reassign any match. The AI learns from your corrections to improve future accuracy.
Every Premium class gets 6 free bank statement scans per billing period. Need more? You can purchase additional scans at a low per-scan price directly from the Finances page.
Your wallet is money you have paid ahead or overpaid that is not tied to a collection yet. It sits there as your credit, and it only moves toward a collection when you say so. ClassKasa never holds the cash - the money is in the class bank account, the wallet just keeps track of what is yours.
The class fund is the money actually sitting in the class account right now, minus what the class has already spent. Class assets are the bigger picture: the fund plus everything families still owe. So the fund is what the class has, and assets are what the class has plus what is still coming in.
Settling a collection closes it once the money is all in. No more payments are tracked against it, and it drops off the list of what families still owe - a tidy-up step for the treasurer. It cannot be undone, so it is worth a quick double-check before you settle.
Only if you tap 'Accept All' on the cookie banner - and only with Meta (Facebook + Instagram), TikTok and Google. We hash your email before it ever leaves your browser, and we never sell anything. You can change your mind any time on the cookies page.
EU privacy law tightened up. Instead of one big 'accept everything' button, you get three honest toggles: the basics (always on), how the site is used (anonymous), and helping us find more parents (only if you say yes).
If you got here from a Facebook, Instagram or Google ad, your link had a tiny tag like ?utm_source=fb or ?gclid=. We use that tag to know which ad worked - not to track you across the rest of the internet.
Anyone can be a ClassKasa Ambassador. Share your link, and when a friend class goes Premium you earn a commission - a slice of their subscription - which you can take as cash or as free months on your own plan. Open the Refer & earn page from the top menu to grab your link.
Yes. Under-18 Ambassadors are paid into a parent account with the parent signed consent, and Stripe runs the ID check. Teens who only want free ClassKasa can take their reward as account credit instead, with no ID check at all.
